Zombie President's Day!  A night of creepy food, survival games and great company.  Upon arrival, the guests received personalized "Zombie Hunting Permit"cards, just in case. ;)  The food consisted of pigs-in-blankets "fingers," a zombie pineapple, "bloody chunks" chips and dip, "fresh flesh" meat and cheese patter, and "eyeball" hard boiled eggs.  After everyone was fed, we starting the games.  The group games consisted of a brain eating contest, where everyone laid on the floor with their hands at their sides and raced to see who could eat a plate of jello the fastest.  Needless to say it was a hilarious mess!  The other group game was a hunting game, where guests used a slingshot and tried to earn the highest score on a zombie target.  There were also solo games set up, that guests participated in at their leisure. These included a Guess the Zombie President game, a survival quiz and a seeking game.  During the seeking game, guests searched the house for cards with weapons, vehicles, clothes, etc. and attached them to their assigned board.  Once every board was filled, scores were tallying and the winner received a brain on the night's scoreboard.  The guest with the most brains at the end of the night won a Subway gift card, "Eat Flesh."

The Harry Potter themed Thanksgiving was my first themed party.  With only 3 guest, 4 including myself, it was very easy to make detailed games and party favors.  Each person received a balloon "owl"  with their acceptance letter to Hogwarts, which doubled as the invitation for the holiday.  The day was filled with games, each game a "class" at Hogwarts.  The games included a Transfiguration class, consisting of making an assigned object out of craft items, Divination class, divining what I would say during dinner by "seeing into the future," and a Potions class, where guests mixed together ingredients to make the best tasting potion.  Other games included Herbology, Muggle Studies, History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures and a form of Quidditch. The food was all traditional Thanksgiving food, with Harry Potter names like You Know Who Yams and Hippogriff Ham.  For dessert we had Pumpkin Pasties, Cauldron Cakes and Chocolate Frogs.  The winners of the games throughout the day were logged on a Triwizard Tournament scoreboard, and the winner received a chocolate frog with a Target gift card inside.
